UA Interactive Online Curriculum

- What is the UA Interactive Online Curriculum (IOC)?
A web-based file sharing system for use by local union Training
Directors/Coordinators and Instructors.
- What will be available in the Interactive Online Curriculum?
Power Point presentations, graphics, digital photos, videos, lesson
plans, handouts, etc. In short, all electronic training materials
produced by UA HVACR instructors for use in their Apprentice &
Journeyworker training classes.
- Who can use the UA Training Department's Interactive Online Curriculum?
The Interactive Online Curriculum
(IOC) is available to Training Directors/Coordinators and Instructors with the
permission of their Business Manager. If you are a UA Instructor and
would like to request access to the IOC please call your local union
Training Director/Coordinator.
- Do I need special equipment to participate?
No, all you need is a computer or laptop with browser software and access
to the Internet.
- May I upload as well as download?
Yes, we encourage every UA instructor to submit his or her training
material. Instructors who want to share their materials can access a special
upload area of the website. Uploaded material will be screened for
suitability and sorted for downloading. The author's name and Local Union
number will remain on the material. Before you can upload materials you must
have a username and password. See question
#3 for information on gaining access.
Interactive Online Curriculum materials are also being developed for Plumbing,
Pipefitting, and Sprinkler fitting. If you would like your work in these areas
to be part of this exciting new system please let your Training Coordinator know.
- How do I get started?
Business Managers, please have your Training Director/Coordinator contact the UA Training Department
at 410-269-2000, or Eric Packard, with the following information:
- Names and email addresses of the contact person at the local.
- Names and email addresses of the training personnel to be enrolled.
- Each Instructor's area(s) of expertise.
- What do I do if I forget my Interactive Online Curriculum password?
Go to the Forgot
Password page of the IOC site, enter your username, and click the
"Email My Password" button. Your password will be sent to your registered
email address.
- What do I do if I forget my Interactive Online Curriculum username?
Contact the
Training Department using our Contact Us form. The Training Department
can only give you information about your username. To obtain password, see
question #7.
